Graham was educated at Kingston School of Art and the Architectural Association School of Architecture, London. In his student days he worked and taught in New York / New Jersey. In 1990 he was employed at Zaha Hadid Architects, charting 17 years of expansion from a competitions and drawings-led studio to a buzzing office. He has worked for other offices before and after. He now works independently and with colleagues as projects demand on new houses, small-scale housing and refurbishment schemes. Early projects have been exhibited, published and included in the AA archive. His starting points are often the figure, furniture, the interior leading to the site – ideas f(l)avoured by Mike Gold’s AA teaching.
